Regicide

On this day in the year of our Lord 1649, His Majesty, Charles I, King of England, Scotland and Ireland was murdered, His Majesty's last words before his execution were, "I go from a corruptible to an incorruptible Crown, where no disturbance can be."

As is usual, this murder of a rightful king led to much evil in these isles, much suffering and darkness before the restoration of Charles II, the son and heir of the murdered king!

God save the King!

As is the case in every republican "revolution", the ultimate act of obliterating the constitution involves the execution of their Sovereign. We saw it with the French and then saw it later with the Bolsheviks. I wonder if republics go back to being monarchies if the Prime Ministers or Presidents would enjoy the same fate. Doubtful, since monarchs tend to have far more respect for life and liberty.

Those modern occupants of throne can only be regarded as counterfeit monarchs, since the time of Willaim III.

The Glorious Revolution represents the usurpation of the Divine right of Kings by the people who control Parliament.
